NETworker of the Month: June 2021

Tony McNeal has been an instrumental member of The NETwork DFW chapter since 2019 and continues to increase his commitment to the vision every year. He has been the lead on several initiatives that impact the community including the creator of The Financial Literacy series that has had over 200 people join to learn the fundamentals for building generational wealth. He has also worked on our Fireside chat series that features leaders across the business sharing insights on topics such as transitioning back to the new norm, effective networking and creating value for the business. He demonstrated a strong work ethic to see things through from beginning to end, helps up to continue to expand our footprint and the has the vision of how to effectively get more engagement in the chapter. From leading efforts to continue community service with Family Gateway through our virtual eSTEAM to helping with our NETtalk series, he has established himself as the person you must have on the team. Tony has been front and center with educational pillar which creates an opportunity to help our members gain the necessary tools for personal and professional growth & development.

His love from the youth naturally led him be a part of our Celebration of the Arts scholarship committee where we are awarding $6,000 in scholarships to 4 deserving students in the DFW community. The NETwork DFW will host our Juneteenth program that will seek to educate, celebration and highlight the many accomplishments of our African American leaders. Tony is one of the keys to help ensure that this event continued the legacy and success it has over the past two years. He is also a champion our of latest initiative that will be launched in 2022 – The NETwork DFW case competition for minority students partnering with leaders in the business for a real-life business case. The DFW chapter is honored to have the talent and commitment from Mr. Tony McNeal. He truly is a backbone to the Program Planning and Development team and is leadership ready.

Looking at the following list of volunteer efforts Tony is a part of, we can see why he was featured on AT&T's page for National Volunteer Month: eSTEAM with Family Gateway, Quarantine Vibes, NETwork Vibes, Minnie’s Food Pantry, Juneteenth Scholarship and Community Celebration, Financial Literacy Series, Fireside Chat, NETtalk series, The NETwork DFW Case Competition (2022 launch).
