A Walk in Memory of Latya Taylor

Updated: Oct 31, 2023

Even if you are not in Dallas, you can walk in your area or moment of silence.

Please join us:

Tuesday, May 23rd

12pm for 30 minutes

(Meet by the TVs on the 28th floor and a walk around the block)

This month marks three years since we lost our dear friend Latya Taylor far too early. She would not want us to sit around in sadness but celebrate her life and our time together.

Following a very short gathering, we will walk together through the Discovery District and downtown area, caring for our mental/physical health.

Even if you did not know Latya, you are very welcome to join our walk and hear the meaningful impact she had in our group and at AT&T, especially in areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and thoughtful giving.

When we come back, let’s continue to celebrate her generosity of spirit by helping with the Manna Pack assembly on the floor for The Stewpot.

Latya Sherice Taylor (nee Redditt)

Financial Analyst. AT&T colleague. Wife. Mother. Community volunteer. Girl Scout leader. Public speaker. Singer. Latya Taylor had many roles in her life. The one where she connected with the AT&T Diversity & Inclusion team was as the CEO of The NETwork BICP. It was in this role that we saw Latya bring together her business skills and experience, common sense, courage and humor to lead AT&T’s oldest Employee Resource Group in its continued efforts to encourage African Americans and other diverse individuals to attain their personal and professional goals and to lead change in our communities. Latya was one of a kind. Her drive and passion were evident in everything she did. In her commitment to diversity and inclusion, she believed in the empowerment of all people.
